DIY Headband Tutorial

Hello!
This is my tutorial for an easy and cheap headband (so fashion, thanks Harry Styles!)

What do you need?
  • A piece of stretchy fabric
  • A meter
  • A ruler
  • Fabric chalks or a pencil
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Sewing thread
Follow these simple steps to do your own headband!
  1. Take the meter and measure your head circumference.
  2. When you have it, subtract some cm from that number. My fabric is medium stretchy so I subtract 5/6 cm. If the fabric is really stretchy, subtract more. If not, then subtract less.
  3. With your fabric chalks or a pencil write down on your fabric the final lenght of the headband. Then sign the height. Mine is 24 cm because I want to fold it three times. Be sure you draw 90 degrees angles. Finish to draw the rectangle.
  4. Take the scissors and cut the rectangle you just drew.
  5. You now have to sew the ends of the headband. Lay the sides of the fabric one on the other. If your fabric has a forehand and a backhand, be sure to match the two forehand sides.
  6. Fix the fabric with some pins.
  7. Sew the fabric with a sewing machine using an elastic seam if you have one or you can sew it by hands. Two important things to remember are to leave a cm from the edge of the fabric and to secure the stitching at the start and at the end. A good way to do it is to go back and forth a couple of times.
  8. If you want you can iron the open sewing for a better result.
  9. Take your headband and fold the edge sides inside.
  10. You can leave it like this or you can sew on side to fix it better.

And this is the finish look!
I hope you like this tutorial and if you try to do one yourself, send me some pictures on twitter or instagram!

How to look like HARRY STYLES

For my first look I choose a "going out" outfit with some of the most iconic clothes and accessories Harry Styles usually wears.
  • Wide brim black wool hat by Pimkie
  • Rayban sunglasses
  • Rolling Stones white Tshirt by a random friend
  • Green plaid shirt by H&M
  • Vintage high-waisted jeans shorts bought in Camden Town, London
  • Rings (a lot of) mostly from H&M and thrift stores
  • Black leather shoulder bag made by myself (own design)
  • Black leather boots by my mum

My second look is inspired by the outifit Harry wore at Louis mom wedding. It's pretty much black, he always wears this color when he has a special event.

  • Wide brim black wool hat
  • Rayban sunglasses
  • Black lace bra by Intimissimi
  • Transparent black shirt with batwing sleeves by OVS
  • Highwaisted black skirt by H&M
  • Black classic jacket
  • Speckled dark scarf by Pull&Bear
  • Black leather boots

Random look for this one. Harry is a massive GreenBayPackers fan, as I am (kind of).
So, this is my tribute!

  • Handmade wool green/gold hat
  • Original Favre Tshirt
  • White sneakers

Last but not least, "on stage" outfit! Inspired by what Harry wore on SanSiro gig night.

  • DIY green headband
  • Black&white patterned shirt found in my grandma's closet
  • Black cutted out jeans
  • Brown leather belt
  • Black leather boots

This are my four Harry Styles inspired outfits, in a female version.
Hope you like them and maybe you can try to dress like him once!
I would love to see some of your pics with these ideas!

What's going on in my life? - JUNE SUMMARY

Hello everyone! How are you?
It's been a crazy month, I didn't have time to think about my blog because so much stuff happened. That's why I'm coming back with a "June Summary" post!
I won't talk a lot about some of the points in this list, because really... There are too much things to talk about, but I don't have the energy to do that!
So, ready... Set... Go!
(Btw if you want to do this monthly summaries, I suggest you to scroll down your Facebook page ahah)

1. I met my lovely girls of TheVampsVeneto in Padova, which is a city near us. We spent the day at the park playing music as usual and recording an acoustic cover of "Somebody to You" which is actually the new single by The Vamps. If you haven't done it yet, watch it ;)
I can say we are pretty good ahah

Love my girls, everytime we meet it's always a great day. I'm so so glad I decided to start this adventure with the Italian team because I've met so many awesome people <3

2. I changed my hair color! This was an impulsive decision, litterally taken in one night. I wake up and I wanted to be blonde. I have to say I've been stupid and I really didn't think about it a lot. I should.
First of all, let me explain my hair situation before. I'm ash brown (I think), but since I was 14 I dyed my hair black, brown, red, blue, ash blonde, and then again black, brown, red, brown... So, you can undestand how my hair was. I'm lucky to have strong ones btw, they can definetely handle the pressure. But that's not how you should treat your hair...
I asked a friend of mine to bleach them, I thought he knew what he was doing but nope... My head was yellow, brown, orange... I was shocked! I went outside with my hair pulled up in a messy bun, so ashamed...
Second attempt, it went really better! I waited 4 days between the two bleaches, washing my hair with camomile and honey shampoo which is great for making them less yellow, and using a lot of hair cream. After the second bleach I was quite pleased with the result, still yellow but a lot better! The brown was gone, orange not really but it was good. I could go outside ahaha :)
Third bleach, a week later, and now I'm fine! They are blonde, I need a couple more bleaches I think and I'm done. My final result should be a white blonde, but we'll see!
Anyway, my advice is... Go to someone who knows what he's doing! Don't try alone at home!

3.  LEEF, my online shop, opened! Yes, we were selling the YouTube Boyband tshirts but yes, they are no more available doing to copyright issues. We are planning to officialize them so we can turn back on sale as soon as we can. I want to thank everyone who bought it, we delivered in Spain, UK, Italy... It was crazy and umbelievable! So, hope to see you soon on our store! :)

4. The moment arrived and passed. 9 months of waiting for this concert. Yes, people, One Direction gig in San Siro, Milan! The last weekend of June was crazy. I arrived in Milan on Friday morning with 3 hours sleep. I couldn't close my eyes the night before, I was too excited and nervous at the same time.
Friday was probably my most favourite day of this trip: I went around town with a couple of friends and I also met other awesome people. Usually I'm not an outgoing person, I'm quite reserved and when I meet someone for the first time I don't really get along well just because I'm shy I think. But I have to say, Luca is one of the sweetest people ever, maybe he is the best guy ever! And he looks like Zayn, which is never a bad thing ahah ;)
The day after that, Saturday, we didn't sleep much (3 hours) and we went straight to San Siro stadium at 5 in the morning. I have to say, the better part of this entire "holiday" was meeting people because again we got to know so many lovely ladies during the long and quite hot day. The queue was a real mess: italian stuff is always disorganized and a friend of mine didn't get through the amount of people who kept surpassing until the very last minute.
We finally entered the stadium, FIRST ROW. I was so happy. And shocked. And tired ahah
5secondsofsummer opened the show, they were good but I didn't know much about them, only the last song. And then One Direction came on stage and I wasn't even nervous about it! I had so much fun singing and dancing with my girls ahah
I managed to give to Harry my GreenBayPackers hat but he (shame on him!) left it on stage before going away... Nevermind, I was so pleased he noticed it :) The show was amazing, powerful, funny and moving. The only problem was about volume... I was disappointed about it, too low! I wanted to hear the boys singing more.
The gig finished so quickly that even today I don't realize we actually went there... Crazy...
The boys are great on stage, everyone was really handsome (even if my fave is a certain curly one but, shhh!) and it was so worth it going to see them live! Also, they recorded the San Siro concert for the DVD, so I hope to see myself again on tv ahah :)

I'm ending this post here, it was really long to write. I didn't want to describe a lot the gig, because I really can't remember a lot about it. The adrenaline was so high that I haven't realized yet what I did!
Thanks for reading, next post is going to be about something more fashion related ;)
